Woodworking for Women

*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 12/10/2022
No experience necessary. Ages 18+ welcome! This class is taught by women to empower women & non-gender conforming individuals in the wood shop. We cover the properties of wood, machine safety, and techniques on the chop saw, including miters, angled cuts, and how to properly cut joinery for them. Other machines will be introduced as well such as the router, biscuit jointer, and drill press. We’ll show you how to properly sand, and finish your piece with an easy, non-toxic, traditional finish.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
