Torrey Pines is open 365 days a year, from 7:15am to sunset. No dogs are allowed on the beach or in the reserve at any time. There are 8 miles of trails and 4 1/2 miles of sandy beach along red-hued bluffs that go from Del Mar to Torrey Pines Mesa. Hiking, swimming, surfing and fishing are popular activities. The visitor center is located at the top of the hill in the reserve. A picnic area is near the entrance at the South Beach parking lot off of North Torrey Pines Road and at the North Beach parking lot off of Carmel Valley Road.
