Symphonic Journeys: Strauss, Walton, Brahms at Jacobs Music Center

Conductor Rafael Payare leads the Symphony in Strauss’ *Tod und Verklarung*, a powerful meditation on life’s journey, alongside Walton’s lyrical *Viola Concerto*, a virtuosic piece originally written for Lionel Tertis. The concert closes with Brahms’ melancholy *Second Symphony*, a hauntingly beautiful work composed in the serene surroundings of southern Austria.
