inGenius 2019 STEAM Summer Camp Program: Third Grade (Week Three)

STEAM Summer Camp Enriching mind where creativity thrives…… We are offering multiple weeks summer education for gifted and talented youth programs that combine challenging academics with social, cultural, and recreational opportunities to nurture students’ social skill, as well as enhance their natural talents and abilities.

inGenius curriculum is uniquely designed to develop critical, complex and creative thinking.
Summer programs are available in several areas including: STREAM (Science, Technology, Read & Writing, Engineering, Art, and Math), multi-languages, sports, and visual and performing arts. 

Morning Camp
Select one from the following:
 Fascinating World Cultures
This class will provide opportunities for each of our students to connect their own personal experiences and identity with the questions, concepts, and content discussed from our lessons. This class we will be studying several different cultures around the world.

 Lego Robotics & Visual Programming
Solving fun challenges using Lego EV3 Robots and learn to code motors and sensors with LEGO MINDSTORMS! Use your programming skills to allow the robot to perform by itself in a simulation environment.

 Inventing Stuff
The camp is an adventure with lessons that explore connections between science, technology, engineering, and innovation. It connects students to inventors who changed the world and their impact across the centuries. Throughout high-energy and hands-on activities of inquiry, discovery, and problem solving, students explore not only the how and why of various discoveries and inventions, but also the entrepreneurship through innovation.

 Outdoor Sports (Group B)
Outdoor sports camps take place in the Canyon Crest Academy fields. Activities include: Capture the Flag, Basketball,Soccer, Bocce Ball, Rugby, Yoga, Over the Line. Rotation Games: Park Ranger, Sharks and Minnows.
Afternoon Camp 
Select one from the following:
 Science of Chance
Students develop a fundamental understanding of probability and statistics through fun activities and real word examples. Students will work with both first-hand and second-hand data. They will learn to conduct experiments and surveys. They will also obtain data from newspapers and journals. Using the data, they will generate graphs, charts, and tables to discover patters, draw conclusions and make predictions.

 Represent Me!
Through simulations and games, students will learn and practice civic duties, democracy, politics, check and balance. They will assume positions, at different levels of governments, of legislator, executives, judges, juries etc. They will be challenged with diverse opinions and demands of voters and constituents of various backgrounds.

 Painting & Drawing
Unleash your child's imagination this summer! This camp provides student a wonderful introduction to several forms of visual art. Each day brings a new project that may include drawing and painting. Students will learn skills and techniques and also learn to think out of box and create your style.

Full Day Program - $299/week or $70/day Short Day Program - $249/week or $60/day Half Day Program - $189/week or $50/day -Rhythmic Gymnastics*: $20 additional weekly surcharge. Weekly enrollment is required.
