STEAM Summer Camp
Enriching mind where creativity thrives……
We are offering multiple weeks summer education for gifted and talented youth programs that combine challenging academics with social, cultural, and recreational opportunities to nurture students’ social skill, as well as enhance their natural talents and abilities.

inGenius curriculum is uniquely designed to develop critical, complex and creative thinking.
Summer programs are available in several areas including: STREAM (Science, Technology, Read & Writing, Engineering, Art, and Math), multi-languages, sports, and visual and performing arts.
Morning Camp

Journeys of the Great Explorers
Musical Theater (9:30-3:00)
Outdoor Sports (Group A)
Select one from the following:
Journeys of the Great ExplorersStudents will follow famous explorers, such as Marco Polo, Zheng He, around the world for fame, for wealth or just out of curiosity. They will also examine the impact of their expeditions on the indigenous societies. Students will also plan and conduct their own virtual explorations in groups.
Musical Theater (9:30-3:00)Act, sing, dance! Kids will rehearse and perform a showcase, featuring all elements of musical theater. Students will earn singing, dancing, understanding art forms, analyzing and constructing meanings, body awareness and much more. Students will perform in a production at the end of the session for parents and other campers. Every kid is a Shining Star in our show. (Required both morning and afternoon attendance of this class for entire week)
Outdoor Sports (Group A)Outdoor sports camps take place in the Canyon Crest Academy fields. Activities include: Basketball,Soccer, Rugby, Yoga. The students in this group will be doing a lot of mind-body awareness activities: cornhole, horseshoes, and ultimate frisbee.

Introduction to ChessThe program includes chess instruction at multiple levels with an emphasis is on the joy of the game. Instruction will start with simple problems to illustrate key concepts, and then move to more intricate positions. Students will learn by playing. They will be able to integrating new information with previous knowledge while building effective thinking habits in chess.
