This month, celebrate Children’s Day in Japan with colorful koinobori, carp-shaped windsocks. Led by Guest Artist Mieko Anekawa you will experiment with mixed media collage, using watercolor, markers, crayons and more. The carp was selected as a symbol of strength and prosperity. According to legend, a carp swam upstream to become a dragon. When the carp windsock blows in the wind, it appears to be swimming.
