In this talk, Carmen Artigas will offer an entirely new understanding of the sustainability behind natural indigo dye, highlighting the virtues of a color that transcends trends. She will explore its origins, current production practices, and dyeing methods, as well as how it connects to the identity of cultures through their communities, artisans, and textiles. Additionally, she will discuss what the future holds for this delicate plant color.
