Adirondack Foraging Pack

No experience necessary. Ages 15+ welcome. Instructor Michelle Natividad Stein teaches students the basics of basket weaving and wood forming in this course. Students learn how to prepare the reed, belly out and taper in the weave as the pack is shaped. They’ll learn to shape wood for the lid, clasp, and stays using a bandsaw, files, and rasps.

The pack holds 20 pounds and can be used for a multitude of things such as gardening, shopping the farmers market or packing a picnic for the beach.
