Prepare to spread your wings as we embark on a journey around the lagoon at the Discovery Center, accompanied by seasoned birder experts. Together, we'll seek out the native birds that call our area home, learning fascinating facts along the way.
Back at the Discovery Center, get ready for a bird-lover's dream lineup! Delve into captivating presentations about majestic native raptors, including the enigmatic Barn Owl and the swift Peregrine Falcon.
But wait, the excitement doesn't end there! Brace yourself for awe-inspiring flying drills with Hawkeye, a magnificent Harris's hawk. And here's a special treat: if you're a member of AHLF and a proud father, you might just have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to feel the gentle touch of a Harris's Hawk on your arm (subject to the bird's consent, of course)!
As the morning reaches its peak, unleash your inner artist and paint a charming birdhouse to take home, serving as a reminder of this unforgettable avian escapade.
